The University of Wraithwood Unnatural is an inclusive human and monster friendly college.U.W.U has been a human-friendly university since Chancellor Aimé Auclair elected to open the doors to human students in 2002 after student population had dropped off significantly due to large numbers of supernatural youth electing to attend conventional human institutions instead.

LOCATIONS

Wraithwood High School
Nestled in the eastern quadrant of Wraithwood, Wraithwood High School serves as the town's primary institution for the secondary education of its supernatural and human youth. The school's architecture is a blend of Gothic revival and modern design elements, with towering spires, gargoyle statues, and high-tech facilities seamlessly integrated into the historic structure.Wraithwood High is known for its progressive curriculum, which offers both traditional academic subjects and specialized courses catering to the unique needs and abilities of its monster students. The Moonlit Cabaret
In the heart of downtown Wraithwood, the Moonlit Cabaret stands as the town's premier bar and nightclub, catering to the after-dark desires and preferences of its supernatural patrons. The lavishly decorated, two-story venue features a grand piano bar on the ground floor, where vampire musicians regale the crowd with haunting melodies and soulful tunes.Upstairs, the opulent main dance floor pulses with an eclectic mix of monster and human revelers, moving to the beats of DJs who are skilled at accommodating the diverse tastes and energy levels of their clientele. The club's state-of-the-art sound system and professionally designed lighting rig ensure that every night is a unforgettable experience. Wraithwood Mall
Situated at the intersection of Maple Street and Sycamore Avenue, the Wraithwood Mall is a sprawling retail complex designed to cater to the diverse shopping needs of the town's supernatural and human residents. The mall's architecture is a modern take on Gothic architecture, with soaring ceilings, intricate stone carvings, and stained-glass skylights casting a warm, inviting glow throughout the space.Wraithwood Mall is home to a unique mix of specialty stores and chain retailers, offering everything from enchanted trinkets and magical artifacts to the latest in human fashion and technology. Wraithwood Square

The Square is surrounded by a mix of Gothic revival and Victorian architecture, with many of the buildings housing independent boutiques, art galleries, and cozy cafes.At the heart of the Square stands the Towering Oak, a massive, ancient tree whose sprawling branches provide a natural meeting place and a popular gathering spot for both supernatural and human residents. Vampires are one of the most prominent supernatural species in Wraithwood.While often associated with old-world nobility and bloodline politics, vampires in Wraithwood range from ancient aristocrats to modern, nightlife-loving undergrads.

DEMI-HUMANS

Demi-humans are a broad category encompassing many types of part-human hybrids, including those with animal or mythical creature heritage.Common demihuman hybrids are cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, cows, reptiles, and even fantastical creatures such as dragons.Demihumans frequently have human features with animal ears, tails or wings depending on the species.

WERES & SHAPESHIFTERS

Werebeasts are one of the most prominent supernatural species in Solarton.Weres & Shapeshifters have the ability to transform into a more bestial form; sometimes by choice, sometimes by a trigger such as the full moon.

FAE

e.g. Pixies, Dryads, Elves, Nymphs, Sprites, SidheContrary to popular belief, not all fairies are dimunative (or winged!). Coming from a variety of regional backgrounds, Fae students tend to be magically gifted.

DEMONS

e.g. Succubi, Incubi, Imps, Ifrits and FiendsDemons span many different types depending on their infernal heritage—some have horns, wings, or tails, and some appear nearly human.Due to state regulations, all demons are required to register, particularly those that feed on human beings.

UNDEAD

e.g. Zombies, Lichs, Ghosts, Ghouls, WightsMost undead at U.W.U. have completed thorough reanimation protocols and magical rehabilitation to manage any lingering instincts from their time beyond the grave.While they are fully recognized as students and staff, undead individuals may still encounter subtle bias tied to society’s discomfort with death, decay, and necromantic practices.

Sea Creatures

Most sea creatures at U.W.U.—including merfolk, selkies, kelpies, and others—make use of the university’s aquatic facilities, such as saltwater dormitories and the exclusive abyssal-depth swimming complex. While fully integrated into campus life, they occasionally face challenges on land, especially in classes or events not designed with their physiology in mind.

Constructs

Most constructs at U.W.U.—including golems, homunculi, animated dolls, and other magically-formed beings—are either student-created or independently sentient. While many are highly intelligent and capable of deep emotional understanding, they sometimes face skepticism from peers who view them as artificial or lesser. The university provides legal recognition and academic accommodations for all sentient constructs.

Magic-capable Humans

Magic-capable humans at U.W.U. are a rare but respected minority, often admitted for their exceptional talent or unique magical lineage. While some come from long lines of witches or sorcerers, others gained their abilities through pacts, accidents, or intensive study. Despite their skill, they can still face tension from non-human peers who question their place in a predominantly supernatural institution.

Humans

Humans at U.W.U. make up a small portion of the student body and are often viewed as outsiders by their supernatural peers. While the university remains officially inclusive, human students can face social isolation or suspicion, especially in courses or dorms heavily populated by non-humans. Those who thrive often do so through resilience, curiosity, and a deep interest in the supernatural world around them.
